Florida is the birthplace of space flight. From Apollo to
Atlantis, Florida is synonymous with space, aerospace
and aviation.
As an enlisted Navy jet mechanic and eventual Navy aviation officer, I too am fascinated by aviation and deeply appreciate what it means to our State. That is why Governor Scott named me Chair of Space Florida.

Economic Development
Governor Scott's first order of business is to create
jobs for the people of Florida. That is why one of my
top priorities is economic development.
As a small business owner I know the challenges of making a payroll and dealing with the burden of high taxes and over regulation.

Military
Both Governor Scott and I are military veterans. I served
twenty years in the United States Navy retiring with the
rank of Lt. Commander. I was also Director of the Florida
Department of Veterans Affairs.
Because of this experience, the Governor asked me to head Military Affairs for the State of Florida. Our goal is to make Florida the most pro-military and pro-military family, community in the nation.

Outreach
Listening to the people of Florida is one of the most
important jobs I have as Lt. Governor, I believe the
people have the best ideas to get Florida back to
work.
I have made it a priority to travel the State to visit schools, attend community and cultural events and simply take the time to listen to the people of Florida.
